Jubilee weeding


All that rain certainly got the weeds growing, but the crops aren't far behind.


I found an online retailer selling little green ball that stick bamboo canes together and have now constructed a fairly bird proof fruit cage for the black current bush. 



Compared to the established plants, the new asparagus bed might not look much now but all 10 plants have started to grow

More netting to keep the pigeons off the peas

I think the colder weather has slowed things down but the broad beans are coming through in the foreground, and I've no more worries about watering.
